Wooldridge Brigham Holcomb

WAYNESBORO, Ga. — Wooldridge Brigham Holcomb passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023.

Holcomb was born March 28, 1936, to the late Elbert and Lillie P. Holcomb. He worked worked for Babcock and Wilcox in Brunswick for 28 ½ year. After that, Holcomb went to work for Southern Company and later retired as a nuclear mechanic at Plant Vogtle.

He was an avid fisherman, loved hunting, and was a master craftsman. Holcomb was a member of Botsford Baptist Church. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his family, his church family, and his country.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Lillie Berlene Holcomb.

Holcomb is survived by his two sons, Jackey Holcomb (Linda) and Kenny Holcomb (Connie); a daughter, Anita Johns (Kyle); seven grandchildren, Stacy H. Jarvis, Michael Holcomb, Amber Culpepper, Holly Perkins, Josh Johns, Lindsey Butler, and Erin Holcomb; and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside services was held Sunday, January 15 at Botsford Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mike Dann officiating.

DeLoach-McKerley-Prescott Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Waynesboro, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
