William Chad Thrift, Sr.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Mr. William Chad Thrift, Sr., 37, died suddenly Sunday, January 1, 2023 in Nashville, Tenn.

Thrift was a native of Waycross, and was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Thompson.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a graduate of Brantley County High School. He was a former employee of Thrift Roofing Co.

Survivors include his son, William Chad Thrift, Jr. of Alma; a step-daugher, Marley Carter of Douglas; his father and stepmother, Bruce and Melinda Thrift of Waycross; two sisters, Erica Thrift of Valdosta and Brandi Hendrix (David) of Waycross; a brother, William Elliott Thrift of Waycross; two step-sisters, Morgan Strickland (Levy) and Marissa Morgan (Taylor) both of Waycross; former stepmother, Elizabeth Hayes Kendrick of Magnolia, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Music Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
