NAHUNTA — Betty Ribbron Coker, 65 of Nahunta, passed peacefully away Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Mrs. Coker was born in Brunswick, the daughter of the late Charles Ribbron and the Late Dorothy Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Paul King; and a grandchild Matthew Gieger.
Mrs. Coker was a graduate of Glynn Academy and was of the Baptist faith. She was retired as a contracted housekeeper for 33 years with Jekyll Island Realty. Mrs. Coker also enjoyed taking care of her plants and was her mother’s caregiver until she passed.
She will be remembered as a honest lady that would offer sound advice to others. Mrs. Coker will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Mrs. Coker’s many memories are her three sons, Shawn Geiger, Kevin Coker and Aaron King and his wife Amber Lee; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah, Jordon, Gabriel, Lillian, Kaylie, Amia and Tyler; one brother, Chuck Ribbron (Teresa); three sisters, Kathy Breeze (Danny), Cindy Mitchell (Eddie), and Vickie Strickland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service was held Friday afternoon, January 6, 2023, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
Mrs. Coker was laid to rest in Palmetto Cemetery following the service.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for memorial made to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia and/or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
