Jim Mohandespour

NAHUNTA — Jim Mohandespour, 73 of Nahunta, passed away suddenly Monday evening, April 17, 2023 at his residence after a brief illness.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Mohandespour’s parents were Javad Mohandespour and Fatehmeh Ahmadi Mohandespour. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Manoochehr Mohandespour and Bejan Mohandespour.

Mohandespour was a culinary chef and a member of Hickox Christian Faith Chapel. He was everybody’s friend and loved his family, cooking, and going to church.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Jean Johns Mohandespour of Bachlott; three sons and daughters-in-law, Khashi Mohandespour of California, J.J. Johns (April) of Bachlott and Cole Johns (Cassie) of Callahan; 10 grandchildren, Logan Flanagan, Jessie Johns, Macie Johns, Lynsey Johns, C.J. Johns, Tanner Johns, Carson Johns, Cameron Johns, Phoenix Mohandespour and Michael Mohandespour; a great grandchild, Emma Brown; three brothers, Parwiz Mohandespour of Turkey, Cyrus Mohandespour of Tampa, Fla., and Fred Mohandespour of Indiana; a sister, Forough Nahavandi of California; two sisters-in-law, Sue White (Charles) and Drene Herrin all of Hickox; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A funeral service was held Thursday morning, April 20, 2023, at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Allen, Rev. Otis Johns and Rev. Jason Marden officiating.

Burial followed in Bachlott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Shannon Herrin, Charlie White, Shane Johns, Shane Carter, Jok Johns and D.J. Johns.

Honorary pallbearer were Darrell Smith, Sean Smith and Dale Johns.

Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
