PATTERSON – James Clarence Sinclair, 85 of Patterson, passed away Thursday evening, April 20, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup after a brief illness.
Born in Patterson, Sinclair’s parents were James Ottis Sinclair and Bertha Lee Griffis Sinclair. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Jack Sinclair.
Sinclair was a contractor and a member of Pleasant Hill. He loved fishing and being by his pond.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Sinclair of Patterson; a son and daughter-in-law, James Sinclair, Jr. (Diane) of Brunswick; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rose Sinclair, Donna Hollis (Randall) and Tina Ford (Jeff) all of Brunswick; two stepsons, Ronnie Johnson (Linda) of Baxley and Jackie Johnson of Blackshear; a stepdaughter, Joann Norfleet of Waynesville; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Peacock of Patterson; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tracey Sinclair (Deborah) of Blackshear, Curt Sinclair (Linda) of Patterson and Eugene Sinclair (Kathy) of Wilmington, N.C.; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
