BRUNSWICK — Brenda Weese Durden, 52 of Brunswick, passed away early Thursday morning at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Ms. Durden was born September 6, 1970 in Plattsburgh, N.Y., to Charles Lee Weese and Carolyn Sue Hawkins Weese. She was a Nuclear Power Plant fire watcher with D,Z, Atlantic Group of North Carolina.
Mrs. Durden had lived most of her life in south Georgia, including Darien, Brunswick and Kingsland, attending Camden County High School.
She was a member of Norwich Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed the symphony, enjoyed working and enjoyed cooking. Mrs. Durden loved her grandbabies, and Christmas was her favorite holiday.
She is survived by her boyfriend, Ronnie Gallardo of Brunswick; her mother, Carolyn Weese of St. Marys; her children, Samantha Gearhart (Kyle) of Brunswick, Trent Burgess of Spindale, N.C., and Jessica McGrath (Joey) of Vinton, Va.; a brother, Richard Weese of Waynesville; two sisters, Sandra Street (Matt) of Hilliard, Fla., and Taya Avila (Billy Doss) of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Kamden, Jordon, Abigail, Peyton, Sophia, Bentley, Michael, Charlotte, Cynthia, Haedyn, and Lyla.
A service to celebrate Ms. Durden’s life, was held Monday, May 1, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Bolettieri and Pastor Art Cyphers officiating.
