Eula Moody Crews

RAYBON – Eula Moody Crews, 75 of Raybon, passed away Thursday morning, April 6, 2023 at her residence after an extended illness.

Born in Hortense, Mrs. Crews’ parents were Warren Moody and Gussie Sloan Moody. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Herrin; two brothers, Alvin Moody and Archie Moody; and two sisters, Corene Roberson and Irene Drury.

Mrs. Crews was a homemaker and a member of Raybon Church of God of Prophecy. She loved fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Odie Crews of Raybon; a son, Scott Crews of Raybon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Herrin (David) of Nahunta and Charolette Willis (Scott) of Hickox; eight grandchildren, Brandon Willis (Courtney), Jessica Johns (Jok), Amanda Lane (Chris), Kristy Thomas (Daniel), Scott Holton, Denver Thomas, Emma Strickland and Presley Ellis; nine great grandchildren, Jake Johns, Jett Johns, Joanna Johns, Dylan Herrin, Cullen Lane, Kambree Thomas, Kaisley Thomas, Fallon Willis and Ailey Willis; a sister, Athalene Jacobs of Trudie; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A funeral service was held Monday morning, April 10, 2023 at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Bro. David Herrin, Rev. Hilton Morgan and Rev. Paul Rhoden officiating.

Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Brandon Willis, Jok Johns, Daniel Thomas, Chris Lane, Denver Thomas, Scott Holton and Warren Moody.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
