WAYNESVILLE — Frankie Helton Stephens, 57 of Waynesville, gained her wings Monday, December 12, 2022.
Mrs. Stephens was born March 6, 1965 to Donald and Rosita Helton in Rome, Ga.
She then went on to graduate high school at Union High School in Blairsville, Ga. Mrs. Stephens spent many years of her life living in the mountains of Georgia where she touched the lives of many. She spent some time in Marietta before making her home in Waynesville.
Here Mrs. Stephens became friends to so many people, filling their lives with joy. Everyone that knew her knew the love she had for her family. Mrs. Stephens would always make time to help someone in need.
Anytime someone needed comforting or a voice of reason, she was always there. There was no such thing as a stray animal. Mrs. Stephens made sure they were fed and loved and would find them a loving home.
She is reunited in heaven with her parents, Donald and Rosita Helton; her sister, Lillie and Junior Dockery; her son, Fred Cooper (forever 12); her stepdaughter, Amanda Stephens; her brother-in-law, Edgar Lee; and her niece, April Lee.
Mrs. Stephens is survived by and loved by her husband, Dave Stephens of Waynesville; her son, Justin Helton of Waynesville; her granddaughters, Rhianna and Gracie of Calhoun, Ga.; grandson, Jacob of Calhoun, Ga.; her god grandson, Ian, of Calhoun, Ga.; her brother, Kenneth Helton of Calhoun, Ga.; her sisters, Carolyn and Ronald Dunn and Tracy Allen all of Calhoun, Ga., and Rosita Lee of Blairsville, Ga.; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends all of whose hearts she touched.
A visitation was held Saturday afternoon, December 17, 2022, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
