WAYNESVILLE — Renetta Mae Geiger Jacobs, 89 of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Mrs. Jacobs was born July 21, 1933 in Brunswick to James Felton Geiger and Daisy Cochrell Geiger. She had lived in Brunswick, Darien, Montana, and lived the past five years in Waynesville. Mrs. Jacobs was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, painting, coloring, playing games with her grandchildren, talking with anyone about the Lord.
Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Paul Geiger, Albert Geiger, and Rebecca Brigdon; a granddaughter; Kasey Armstrong; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Armstrong and Israel Pelletier.
Survivors include her children, Rita Harper (Bill) of Jesup, Bruce Jacobs (Polly) of Darien, Rhonda Smith (Harold) of Waynesville, and Chet Jacobs (Sondra) of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Jacobs will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm, from the gravesite at Palmetto Cemetery, where her children will share fond memories, and sing her favorite hymns.
