WAYNESVILLE – Joe Bill Daniels, 69 of Waynesville, passed away early Friday morning, November 25, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick.
Born in White Oak, Daniels’ parents were Wiley Harrison Daniels, Sr. and Ollie Beckham Daniels. He is also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Daniels, Ellen Chavis and Annie Moore; and a nephew, Thomas Strickland.
Daniels worked in maintenance and attended Bay Harbor Brantley Church of God. He was good with his hands and loved working on things, spending time with his grandchildren, watching college football, watching the Camden County Wildcats football team, fishing, and tinkering.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Daniels of Waynesville; a son, Joshua Daniels of Waynesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carla Chesser (Ryan) and Kelsey Curry (Brian) all of Hortense; six grandchildren, Cole Chesser, Seth Chesser, Kyle Curry, Amris Curry, Asher Curry and Kase Curry all of Hortense; three brothers and a sister-in-law, W.H. Daniels of Woodbine, C.L. Daniels (Karen) and Russell Daniels both of Waynesville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Alice Anderson (Charles) of Midville and Freddie Clemons of N.C.; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held Monday morning, November 28, 2022 at Bay Harbor Brantley Church of God with Rev. Tommy Gill officiating.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
