WAYCROSS — Mr. Joseph Charles “Joey” Prevatt, 56, died Monday morning, November 21, 2022 at his residence in Waycross.
Prevatt was born May 11, 1966 to his parents, Joseph Charles Prevatt, Sr. and Carolyn Cason Prevatt, in Waycross. He went to college at Valdosta State and also in Athens. Prevatt worked at Peacock Septic Tank Service as a bookkeeper. He loved cars, motorcycles, deer hunting and watching his son play baseball.
In addition to his parents, Prevatt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J. C. and Dorothy Prevatt; and his maternal grandparents, Earlish and Luvada Cason.
His survivors include, his daughter, Haley Crews (Kyle) of Hoboken; his son, Tyler Prevatt of Waycross; a grandson, Kade Crews; and a brother, Chris Prevatt (Teresa) of Blackshear.
A graveside service was held Friday, November 25, 2022 at Oakland Cemetery.
