WAYCROSS — Mr. Tony David Roberson, Sr., 61 of Waycross, died early Monday morning, December 19, 2022 at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.
Roberson was born in Waycross to James David Roberson and Jeanette Roberts Roberson.
He had made Waycross and Blackshear his home for his entire life. A master carpenter, Roberson worked for Bucky Thomas Construction and ScotBilt Homes. He was a member of Pebble Hill Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Roberson was preceded in death by his father, James David Roberson, and his nephew, Ronney Gordon.
He is survived by three children, Butch Roberson of Waycross, Britney Roberson (Jim Anderson) of Waycross, and Blake Roberson of Waycross; three grandchildren, Holt Roberson, Coraline Roberson and Mackenzie Anderson; his mother, Jeanette Roberson of Waycross; a sister, Melinda Mae Gordon of Waycross; a brother, Kenneth Roberson of Waycross; his former wife and mother of his children, Lisa Roberson of Waycross; a nephew, Chad Justice; and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service was held Thursday morning, December 22, 2022, in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
