HORTENSE — William “Bill” Norris Campbell, 75, of Hortense, passed away Saturday October 8, 2022 at Southeast Georgia Health System.
Campbell was born September 15, 1947 to Dorcas Norris Campbell and Charlie Campbell in Brunswick. He was a lifelong resident of Glynn County.
Campbell was a pipefitter and welder by trade for the Local Union 177. He was a member of the Norwich St. Baptist Church.
Campbell was also a veteran, serving his country in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors, but most of all he loved his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rosalyn Campbell; son, Brian Campbell (Kristin); daughter, LeighAnn Campbell (Chris Fintus); two sisters, Judy Cousino (Kevin) and Terri Thomas; four grandchildren, William Campbell, Kaleb Campbell, Jasper Fintus and Aksel Fintus; and brother-in-law, Joe Mizelle (Debbie).
A memorial service fwill be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 5 p.m., at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Farrior officiating. A visitation will be held an hour prior at 4 p.m.
