Alice Marie Rockhill Dilks, 76, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday morning, February 20, 2024, at her residence.
Born in Burlington, NJ April 23, 1947, she lived in New Jersey most of her life, before moving to Blackshear three years ago to be with her daughter. She loved playing BINGO and the lottery, occasionally winning, but not quite hitting “the big one.” Afternoons she could be found watching the CBS soap operas, The Young & Restless and The Bold & the Beautiful. She led a very simple, non-extravagant life, which showed through her love of finding a good deal while thrifting and yard sales. She loved her animals, but most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Mommom.”
She was a daughter of the late Thomas Hiram and Alice Elizabeth Clinton Rockhill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Keith Dilks and a sister, Mary Weiss Rockhill.
Survivors include her daughters, Lora Harto and fiancé, Jason Basso, Blackshear and Lori and David Fijalkowski, Atlanta; grandchildren, Donnie (Kasia) Richardson, Joseph (Jasmine) Richardson, David (Danielle) Fijalkowski, Allison (Blake) McCowell, Lana Harto and Ava Harto; great-grandchildren, Olivia Richardson, Brooke Richardson, Juliana Richardson, Jace Richardson, Paisley McCowell and Clayton McCowell and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
