Purple ribbons to honor fallen hero

Each person honors our fallen soldiers in their own way. Since the return of Kennedy Sanders to American soil earlier this month, many citizens of Waycross have chosen to honor her sacrifice with a purple ribbon on their home or business. The Blackshear Times joins with all of Sanders' friends and family in remembering her service to our country.

Other local businesses are encouraged to display a purple ribbon on your door or storefront. Let us all help our sister city hold up the memory of Sgt. Kennedy Ladon Sanders who represented the strength of south Georgia while posted overseas.
