Alletta Jean Everett

Alletta Jean Everett of Patterson passed away peacefully at her residence Thursday, February 1, 2024, the morning of her 51st birthday.

She was born in Jacksonville, Florida February 1, 1973 to the Darlene Everett of Patterson and the late David Everett Sr. Known to her family by many different nicknames, she came into this life a very special person and was the epitome of love and happiness. She put a smile on the faces of everyone who came in contact with her and touched a lot of lives. She loved to give and receive hugs. She loved to make and receive phone calls and she always had to have her pocketbook and her babydoll, Bebe. She could usually be found somewhere near her mama just fussing at her for the fun of it. She loved to pick on and mess with her baby brother and her nieces and nephew. She enjoyed going for walks down to the creek and it didn’t matter a single bit to her that she was in a wheelchair. She was a fighter and she loved life, as she lived 50 years past what doctors predicted she ever would.

“Lettie…NeNe…Aunt Sissy…Sissy…Letta Jean”...will be sadly missed in this life, but we know she is using her own two legs to run the Streets of Gold and in that we take comfort.

She was preceded in death by her father, David W. Everett Sr.; her step-father, Edward C. Sharpe; her maternal grandparents, Arnold and Evelyn Dixon; a special aunt, Ruby “BooBoo” Dixon Pittman; her paternal grandmother, Dorothy Agger and a great-grandfather, Tim Fender.

Survivors include her loving and devoted mama, Darlene Everett, who everyday for the past 51 years was her full time caregiver and biggest advocate; her loving and devoted baby brother, protector, and advocate, David W. Everett Jr, wife, Candi, Patterson; two very special nieces,Dixie Everett and Dazie Everett, both of Patterson and one very special nephew, David W. Everett lll , Patterson, (all of whom grew up from birth with her, and loved her like a sister). She is also survived by three uncles, Lamar Dixon, Yulee, FL, Larry Lare, Moosehead Lake, Maine and Daniel McLucas, Yulee, FL; three aunts, Pam McLucas  and Cindy Dixon, both of Yulee, FL and Regina Lee, Nazareth, Pennsylvania; special friend, Janice (James) Vail, Patterson and several other cousins, relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 7, from the Green Pine Funeral Home and Cemetery in Yulee, FL.

Green Pine Funeral Home and Cemetery of Yulee, FL is  in charge of arrangements.
