Glenda Nell Hickox Lee, 71, died Saturday morning, February 24, 2024, at Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
She was born October 26, 1952 in Waycross to the late Waunell Sapp Hickox and the late Elder Reavis Lee Hickox. She graduated from Brantley County High School and she was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was employed by Southeastern Bank in Nahunta for many years. She loved going to the beach and spending time with her family and “adopted” grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Davis and her brother, Lamar Hickox.
Survivors include two sons, Kelby Lee, Los Angeles, CA and Fred Lee, Waycross; her mother, Waunell Sapp Hickox, Brantley County; two sisters, Patricia Douglas (David), Brunswick and Sylvia Thrift (Matt), Brantley County; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hickox, Brantley County and she especially loved her many nieces and nephews whom she considered her “adopted” grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at her mother’s home, 2584 Mattie Shuman Road, Waycross.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, from the High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Daniel Drawdy officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
