Dixie Lou Crawford Eason, 70, of Patterson, passed away early Saturday morning, May 25, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born March 24, 1954 in Waycross, she was the daughter of Mary Lou Stanfield Crawford and the late Andrew Edward Crawford Sr. She lived all her life in Pierce County and attended Patterson High School. She was retired as a medical coder, having worked many years for Satilla Regional Medical Center and Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
She was a member of Baxley First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bridge.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Cynthia Eason Davidson; a brother, Andrew Edward Crawford Jr.; and her grandparents, Bud and Mattie Stanfield, Nicey Strickland Crawford and Andrew and Martha Crawford.
Survivors include her husband, Harold B. Eason, Baxley; daughter, Nicole Fulford, Waycross; a stepdaughter, Barbara Eason King (husband Dean), Monroe; step-son-in-law, Steve Davidson, Prattville, AL; mother, Mary Lou Stanfield Crawford, Patterson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew C. and Robin Crawford and Timothy and Sidney Crawford, all of Patterson; three grandchildren, Amber Elias, Blackshear, Ashli Shannon, Brunswick, and Nicolas Fulford, Waycross; three step-grandchildren, Chris Thompson (wife Crystel) and Erica Ehrlich (husband David), all of Prattville, AL and Olivia King, Monroe; five great-grandchildren, Jailynn Elias, Cali Walker, Treyton Thompson, Huck Ehrlich and Carmen Thompson and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 27, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, from the Laura Chapel Baptist Church.
Interment will follow in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.
