Those were the results of Tuesday’s general primary election in Pierce County. The region-wide sales tax for transportation won in Pierce County by a tally of 1,580-1,242, but results from the district were still pending. Turnout was a pathetic 23.61 percent as only 2,937 of the county’s 12,439 active, registered voters bothered to cast ballots in the election.
