Julie Walker Keller, 97, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning, September 5, 2024, at Harborview Health Systems – Pierce County.
Born in Patterson July 15, 1927, she lived in Pierce County all her life. She worked as a sales associate for Pierce Trading Company and later Gilmore’s Department Store for many years. She would go on to work at Classy Rags in Waycross before retiring and becoming a homemaker. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Blackshear where she was in the Alathean Sunday School Class.
She was a daughter of the late Andrew Middleton and Isabelle Thornton Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond Keller; a son, Bill Keller and all of her sisters and brothers.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Susan Keller, Alma; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Tommy Lloyd, Blackshear; four grandchildren, Chris (Erica) Keller, Misty (Donavan) Johns, Thomas (Heather) Lloyd and Mark (Lisa) Lloyd; nine great- grandchildren, Walker, Graysen and Sydney Keller, Tyler, Andrew, Landry and Preston Lloyd, Colton Johns, and Willie Altman and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Boatright officiating.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
