Minnie Lee Howell, 90, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday evening, April 28, 2024, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness.
Born January 3, 1934, in Waycross, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Justice Howell. She lived all her life in Ware and Pierce Counties and retired from King Edward Cigar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Thornton and Rynthanell Howell and six brothers, Arthur Howell Jr., Jack Howell, Robert Howell, Dewey Howell, Rufus Howell and Toomer Howell.
Survivors include her sister, Ima Jean Bailey, Blackshear and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, from the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Waycross with Clarence Gooden officiating.
