Theodora Rose "Teddy" Martucci Long, 89, of Blackshear passed away Wednesday morning, April 17, 2024, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
Born in Edison, NJ March 13, 1935, she lived in South Brunswick, NJ for many years before briefly relocating to Waycross for two years then to Blackshear which has been her home for the past 28 years. She was a graduate of Edison High School. Over the years she worked at Monmouth Junction Mobile Home Park followed by Westinghouse Electric Corporation but had spent the past several years being a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, and doing crossword and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed reading her Bible every day. She attended St. Johns Community Church.
She was a daughter of the late George and Mary Dellgrippo Martucci. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Watts.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Sheldon LeRoy Long, Blackshear; her daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Frank Gulotta, Blackshear; her son, Richard Long of Pennsylvania; a sister, Marie McWilliams, Ellijay; a brother, Peter (Audrey) Martucci, Blackshear; special friends and neighbors, Kristin and Lee Sloan, Blackshear; five grandchildren, Danielle Gulotta (John Davis), Kyrstin Long (Victor Battagliotti, III), Madison Garcia, Cameron Long, and Nicole (Brian Quindlen) Gulotta; three great-grandchildren, Nova Fairchild, Athena Davis and Giovanni Battagliotti and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Memorialization is by cremation.
