Oralee Jeanette Courson Hagan, 81, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday night, March 24, 2024, at Harborview Health Systems—Pierce County following an extended illness.
Born July 9, 1942, in Alma, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Louise Dixon Courson. She grew up in Pierce County but lived many years in Fernandina Beach, Florida before returning to Blackshear in 2020. She had worked as a sales clerk at several convenience stores including Flash Foods.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hagan; a sister, Lera Hyers and two brothers, Harry Courson and Larry Courson.
Survivors include her son, David Hagan (wife Julie), Riverdale; a sister, Linda Palmer (husband Al), Blackshear; two brothers, Howard Courson (wife Mickey), Monticello, FL and Homer Courson (wife Kathy), Alma and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation. Interment will take place at a later date at Shady Grove Cemetery.
