Linda Thrift Turner, 74, of Blackshear, passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2024, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House.
Born in Waycross, November 12, 1949, she lived in Pierce County all her life. She was a former clerk for the City of Blackshear and was a member of Walkerville Baptist Church. She loved shopping and working on crossword puzzles and simply adored Elvis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Gordon and Thelma Johnson Thrift. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Gator” Turner and by a sister, Shirley Taylor.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacey Turner of Blackshear; two sisters, Mary Robinson, Springfield, OR and Terrie (Gene) Bray, Middleburg, FL; her canine child, Scout and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 2-3 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 1, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Blackshear Cemetery.
