Donald Edward Crawford Sr., 62, of Blackshear, passed away Friday afternoon, March 8, 2024, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness.
Born September 15, 1961, in Jesup, he was a son of the late Ivan Jackie Crawford Sr. and Annie Pearl Burke Crawford. He was a 1979 graduate of Waycross High School and lived most of his life in Pierce County. He had worked at Wal-Mart in Waycross, Food Lion in Alma and Piggly Wiggly in Blackshear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Gail Cribbs Crawford and a brother, Ivan Crawford Jr.
Survivors include his two sons, Donald E. Crawford Jr. (Caitlyn) and David Crawford (wife Breanna), both of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Cierra Nicole Crawford, Waycross, and Eli Crawford, Laura Crawford and Emmory Crawford, all of Blackshear; his sister, Joyce Sapp, Blackshear; his brother, Danny Crawford (wife Betty Ann), Odum; his in-laws, Bruce Sr. and Ruby Cribbs, Hilliard, FL and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, from the St. John’s Community Church near Blackshear.
