Brenda Faye Harris Underwood, 57, of Blackshear, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah.
Born in Albany September 6, 1966, she had lived in Homerville prior to moving to Pierce County 10 years ago. She had been employed by Flash Foods as a cashier for many years. She loved to go fishing and when she wasn’t frying up her own catch, she liked to eat at Captain D’s. She never met a stranger and loved everyone, her cats and dogs, but especially her family and grandchildren. She was of the Christian faith.
She was the daughter of the late James Durward and Carolyn Wyoming Dawson Harris. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gene King.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, David Underwood, Blackshear; a step-daughter, Jennifer Marshall, Homerville; three sons, Donald Rogers, Homerville, Andrew McBee, Blackshear, and Brandon McBee, Waycross; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildre and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. Monday, July 1, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, July 1, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the High Bluff Cemetery in Brantley County.
