Bobby Flanagin Nipper

Bobby Flanagin Nipper, 77, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning, June 23, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness.

Born April 5, 1947 in Alma, he was a son of the late Frank and Dorothy Mae Harris Nipper. He lived in Bacon County for many years before moving to Pierce County in the early 2000s.  He was a retired truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ann Spell Nipper; a son, Bobby Don Nipper; two granddaughters, Jessica Johnson and Taylor Fitchett; a grandson, Triston Carter; a great-granddaughter, Riley Johnson; a great-grandson, Ethan Johnson; a brother, Franklin Nipper and five sisters, Illajean Taylor, Dorothy Morrison, Patsy Rewis, Shirley Chancey and Gloria Nipper.

Survivors include four daughters, Rhonda Nipper, Alma, Tammy Nipper, Blackshear, Gloria Johnson (husband Keith)  and Angel Meeks (husband Lee), both of Nicholls; three sons, Hunter Nipper and Lance Nipper, both of Blackshear, and Michael Carter (wife Maria), Marion, SC; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Nipper, Alma and Ronnie Nipper (wife Sheryl), Baxley; two sisters, Betty Hood and Ann Bazemore (husband Danny), both of Alma; his best friend and lifelong companion, Gail Nipper, Alma and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Friday, June 28, at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 28, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating.
