John Ray Jordan, 76, of Waycross, passed away Thursday evening, June 13, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born January 22, 1948, in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Robbie Robinson and Johnnie Mae Jordan. He lived many years in North Carolina and South Carolina before moving to Waycross in the early 2000s. He had been a longtime self-employed contractor as the owner of Jordan’s Construction and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Diane C. Jeffrey Jordan, Waycross; two sons, John Thomas Jordan (wife Rossie) of Michigan and Christopher William Jordan (wife Ashley), Waycross; two step-daughters, Nicole Lynn Dyches (husband Jay), Hoboken and Dawn Renee Whitlock (husband Ced), Hinesville; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sister, Dianne Ferrell, Rock Hill, SC; special cousin, Charlotte Ann Wilson, Marshville, NC and several other relatives.
Memorialization is by cremation.
