Shirley Jane Dixon Moseley, 72, of Blackshear, passed away Saturday morning, July 20, 2024, at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Orange Park, FL, following a short illness.
Born April 9, 1952, in Blackshear, she was a daughter of the late Donald Edgar and Eldys Marie Denison Dixon. Living all her life in Pierce County, she was a 1971 graduate of Blackshear High School. Over the years, she had worked at a sewing factory, the Kroger Fuel Center and at Wal-Mart in Waycross. She was a member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Thomas “Tommy” Moseley Jr.; a grandson, Joshua Thomas Moseley and a sister, Barbara Jean Roberts.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Ciera Moseley, Blackshear; daughter, Amber Leverett, Raybon; seven grandchildren, Madison Moseley, Addisyn O’Berry, Madisyn O’Berry, Karlee Anderson, Annzlee O’Berry and Brentlee Anderson, all of Blackshear and Taylor Johnson, Nahunta; two sisters, Janis Dixon, Hortense and Gina Albritton (husband Jerry), Blackshear; brother, Dennie Dixon (wife Bertha), Blackshear; two nephews, Bryan Clark (wife Renee) and Edgar Dixon (wife Christy), both of Blackshear and Jason Patrick, Freeport, FL; two nieces, Christy Crawford of North Carolina and Sally Clark, Blackshear and several other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Foster Cemetery.
