Kerry Vann Boyett

Kerry Vann Boyett, 70, of Mershon, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at his residence, after an extended illness.

He was born June 1, 1954 in Bacon County to the late Walter Earl Boyett and Bertha Smith Boyett.

He was an engineering contractor and he owned Lightsey Concrete with his brother Earl Junior from 1978-2018 when he retired. In 2016, he started Boyett & Boyett Cattle Farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his grandchildren and dogs.

He was a member of Martha Memorial Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Henry Boyett and Gary Allen Boyett and three sisters, Aurelia Sue Boyett, Linda Dale Cox and Debra Ann Lancaster.

Survivors include his wife, Annette Hobby Boyett, Mershon; sons, Kerry Vann Boyett Jr. (Heather), Chad Joseph Vergho (Alysha), Ft. Lauderdale and Daniel James Vergho (Andrea), Pembroke Pines; two daughters, Kristin Larsen (Stephen), Ft. Lauderdale and Kortney Wells (Jessie), Canton; brother, Earl Junior Boyett (Priscilla), Bristol and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Martha Memorial Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, from the Martha Memorial Church with Pastor Tony Walsh and Pastor Ryan Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Earl Junior Boyett II, Kaylor Boyett, Keygan Boyett, Graycen Larsen, JT Messenger and Todd Martell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Boyett Jr. and his co-workers from Bal Harbour.

Crosby Funeral Home of Alma is in charge of arrangements.
