Mary Carol Yates King

Mary Carol Yates King, 70, of Jesup, passed away early Sunday morning, July 7, 2024, at Hospice of South Georgia, following an extended illness.

Born July 29, 1953, in Jesup, she was a daughter of Althea Murray Yates and the late Charles Augusta Yates. She lived all her life in Wayne and Ware Counties and was a 1972 graduate of Wayne County High School. She was a longtime housewife and a member of Hacklebarney Baptist Church.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a step-son, Brian King.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Randolph King, Jesup; son, Jonathan King, Jesup; a step-son, Brandon King (wife Candice), Waycross; grandchildren, Emily Manning (husband J.P.), Blackshear and Sam King, Waycross; great-granddaughter, Brinlee Kate Manning, Blackshear; mother, Althea Murray Yates, Jesup; two sisters, Sharleen Blocker (husband Larry), Loganville and Peggy Smith (husband Bob), Jesup; brother, Thomas Yates, Jesup; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim and Janet King, Waycross and Steve and Marie King, Homeland and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Boulevard, Jesup, GA 31545.
