Kimberly C. Drier, 57, passed away and entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, following an extended illness. Her loved ones were by her bedside.
She was born on September 23, 1964 in Blackshear to Ottis R. Chandler and Marlene P. Chandler.
A native of Pierce County, she grew up as a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she would sing and play piano. She was a stay at home mother with her former husband Lannis Deal as she raised both of her children. She then started her career and retired from the Waycross Post Office. She remarried in 2010 to her husband Richard Drier. She enjoyed many years of adventures and loved to travel. She enjoyed many family trips, riding on their motorcycles and went on several cruises.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pleman “Pete” and Magdeline Peacock; paternal grandparents, David and Della Mae Chandler; her mother, Marlene P. Chandler and mother-in- law, Betty Drier.
Survivors include her father, Ottis R. Chandler; husband, Richard Drier; three children, Tyler (Shona) Deal, Doug Drier and Ashlea Deal,; three grandchildren, Brianna Williams, Gracie Deal and Aurora Deal.; a sister-in-law, Debbie Drier; uncludes, the Rev. Andrew Franklin (Gloria) Peacock, John Wayne (Kitty) Chandler and Lavon (Dottie) Chandler; aunt, Diane (Emerson) Skipper and several other relatives and close friends.
Cremation was chosen in lieu of funeral and burial services.
The family will have a small grave side burial at Shiloh Cemetery in Blackshear.
Low Country Cremation and Burial of Reidsville is in charge of arrangements.
