Cora Mae Tillman Collins, 80, of Hoboken, passed away Thursday evening, December 21, 2023, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Born in Waycross July 23, 1943, she lived in Brantley County most of her life. Over the years she worked in factories as well as been a sitter but had been a homemaker for the past several years. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church.
She was a daughter of the late James Miller and Mary Martha Flanders Tillman. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joey Dasher; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Ruger and a sister, Gail Tillman.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Collins, Hoboken; three sons, Jimmy (Alicia) Ruger, Blackshear and Johnny Collins and Jessie Collins; a daughter, Joy Ann (Elliott) Pittman, Waycross; three sisters, Brenda Sapp, Hoboken, Katie (Ricky) Cox, Waresboro and Gloria Hughes, Warner Robins; a brother, Dorsey (Debra) Tillman, Waycross; nine grandchildren, Rachelle (Jody) Thigpen, Barry (Shelby) Dasher, Mandy (Eddie) Beverly, Megan Ruger (Josh Nix), Jake Herrin, Allee Ruger, Austin Pittman and Summer (Blake) Fussell; numerous great-grandchildren with another little one on the way and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be in the Hoboken Cemetery.
