Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Williamson, 56, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his residence.
Born in Jacksonville, FL December 4, 1966, he had lived in Ware and Pierce Counties most of his life. He was a 1986 graduate of Pierce County High School. Following his high school graduation, he went to work for the City of Waycross in their water department and remained there until he had to retire due to his health. He was a big racing fan and loved watching NASCAR and Street Outlaws. He also enjoyed watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves and in his younger days had enjoyed fishing.
He was a son of the late Ernest Carroll Williamson and Betty Jane Henley Williamson.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Gwena and James Payne, Keystone Heights, FL; his sister, Susan Williamson, Patterson; his brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Karen Williamson, Jesup; three grandchildren, Brayleigh Payne, Remington Payne and Levi Payne; his nephew, Matthew Williamson and several other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
Interment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Ware County.
