The popular History Channel series “American Pickers” will return to Georgia to film in the state in December — and would like to find interesting antiques and other items in this area.
“American Pickers” is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique ‘picking.’ The hit show follows Mike Wolfe and his new partner, Danielle Colby, as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sizable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.
As they hit the back roads from coast to coast, the duo is on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items.
The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.
Wolfe and Colby are always looking to discover something they’ve never seen before. They are ready to find extraordinary items and hear fascinating tales about them.
The show is looking for leads and would love to explore for hidden treasure in the southeast region of the state, including Pierce County. Those who have, or know someone who has, a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques are asked to send their name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to: [email protected], call (646) 493-2184 or on Facebook @GotaPick.
American Pickers airs at 9 p.m. Wednesdays on the History Channel.
