Jeraldine Patricia Mock Bohannon, 73, of Waycross, passed away early Thursday morning, December 28, 2023, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
Born in Savannah Beach May 31, 1950, she lived in Pierce County for several years before moving to Ware County in 2005. She was a 1968 graduate of Glynn Academy in Brunswick. She worked as the executive secretary for Judge Blount in Waycross for many years before going to work at Memorial Satilla Health as the executive secretary for the hospital administrator. She loved to fish, play Trivia Pursuit, listen to “oldies” music and cross stitch. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her pet dogs. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was the daughter of the late King Patrick Mock and Minnie Louise Hessemer Mock Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Michael Bohannon and both of her brothers, King Patrick Mock Jr. and George Randy Mock.
Survivors include her daughter, Lori Bohannon, Waycross; her son, Michael “Bo” Bohannon, Waycross; six grandchildren, C. Michael (Emberlee) Shuman, Matthew R. (Samantha) Shuman, Madison (Lee) Swain, Dylan (Ani) Olds, Kandace Bohannon and Kelsey (Nate) Boles; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
