Angela Marie “Angel” Howell Tanner, 44, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, following a brief illness.
She was born in Ware County to Charles Fredrick Howell and Betty Ann Smith Howell and was a 1996 graduate of Ware County Magnet School. She was a bookkeeper for various companies through the years but was currently employed with the Pierce County Board of Education. In her spare time she was a magical vacation planner who helped others plan their vacation to Disney World. She was often referred to an expert in planning those trips. She was also a member of Zenith Baptist Church in Manor.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Courteney Blanche Mixon.
She is survived by her husband, Allen Tanner, Blackshear; a son, Bryce Charles Mixon (Lena Carter), Blackshear; two grandchildren, Brylinn Mixon and Mayleigh Mixon; her mother, Betty Ann Smith Howell, Waycross; two sisters, Sheila Music, Blackshear and April Aldridge (Roy), Waycross; her best friends, Heather Alcon (Bert), Blackshear and Vickie Rowell (Johnny), Manor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 21, from the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Zenith Baptist Church Cemetery in Manor.
