We hope everyone is having a great summer break so far! Pierce County High School’s business hours for summer hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays until and closed the week of July 3-7.
We continue to salute members of the PCHS football team who were recognized at their recent banquet. Honorees for the 2022 season included: Matthew Taylor (Senor Offensive Award), Hudson Boatright (Junior Offensive Award), Elijah Howard (Junior Defensive Award), Dixon Morris (Sophomore Offensive Award), Jones Herrin (Sophomore Defensive Award), Nigel Brown (Freshman Offensive Award), Jah Evans (Freshman Defensive Award)
Additional football accolades included: Carson Sloan (Meanest Bear Award/Takeaway Award/Hammer Award), D.J. Bell (Race Horse Award), Jacquez White (Air Bear Award/Big Play Award/Senior Defensive Award), Wade DiBiase (Most Hits Award/Hammer Award), Henry Peagler (Highest Grade OL Award), Trent Moody (Highest Grade DL Award), Jimarion Guyton (High Octane Award-Offense), and Drake Dowling (JV MVP Award). Trenton Raulerson and Marquez Leggett each received the Pride Award.
Today (June 14) is the last of three days for upcoming seniors to make appointments for their senior pictures with the school’s senior pictures photographer, SWI. July 29th is make-up day.

Driver’s Ed classes (for those who previously signed up) are Mondays through Fridays in June, from noon to 6 p.m. daily. Registration for the fall semester will begin in August and will include six Saturdays in the fall.

Summer School concludes tomorrow (June 14). Session 1 is 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with session 2 taking place from 12:30 p.m. to 4PM

PCHS soccer is hosting its annual youth soccer camp June 28-29 at the middle school (9:30 - 11;00 A.M.) This is for ages 8-12. Cost is $50 and may be paid the day of the camp. Contact [email protected]. PCHS Soccer Camp for ages 13+ will be July 17-19 at PCMS (9-11 A.M.) Cost is $15 per athlete and may be paid on the day of camp.

PCHS Youth Volleyball Camp is June 28-29 for upcoming grades 1st-3rd grade (1-3 P.M.) and 4th-6th grade (2:30- 4:00 P.M.) Skills to be taught include passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Cost is $50. Email [email protected].

Pierce County High Basketball hosts its annual kids camp for boys and girls grades K-5. Camp dates are July 10-12, 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. daily (lunch provided) in the PCHS gym. Cost is $60. Checks should be made payable to the PCHS Tip-Off Club, due on the first day of camp. Contact [email protected].

Coastal Pines Technical College will host an information session July 13 at 10 A.M. on the Waycross campus. This meeting is for rising, current, or recently graduated high school students who wish to know more about what CPTC offers.

College of Coastal Georgia and Southeast Georgia Health System will be hosting the 2nd edition of Nurse Camp, July 11-14. Instruction is 9-4 daily, and there are two pricing options, including an overnight option for those students who want to stay on campus. Apply only by May 15 at sghs.org/nursecamp.

Faculty members who plan on driving a school bus or the activity bus next school year need to have your physical and drug screen conducted between July 14-24 at Ware Express Care. No appointment is necessary.
