Loran Smith, executive director of the Georgia Bulldog Club, will be in Blackshear Monday, Dec. 19.
Smith will have a book signing and meet and greet from 4-6 p.m. that day at Christi’s Downsouth Living on U.S. Highway 84. Smith will be signing copies of his well-known “Return to Glory” book.
Smith spent his professional life at the University of Georgia after graduating from the state’s flagship university.
Smith served as the assistant sports information director, business manager and packager of the Bulldogs game broadcasts on radio and a member of the Athletic Association Development Office.
Smith was a long-time side line reporter for the Bulldogs’ football game broadcasts. Legendary play-by-play announcer Larry Munson, would often cut to Smith by saying “Loran, Whaddaya got?”
